2021 CLBB Second Season

Important Update!

CLBB Juco (6th/7th Grade) and College (8th/9th Grade) Players:
Thanks for your interest and support of Clear Lake Boys Basketball! Unfortunately, and for a variety of reasons, there is a minimal number of players registered in the 6th/7th grade division (Juco) and 8th/9th grade division (College). Similarly, the Friendswood Youth Basketball League with whom we have partnered has also experienced low registration in these divisions. For this reason, we are canceling the Second Season for these age groups. However, any 9th graders that wish to play up in the 10th-12th grade division (Pro) can come to the Pro division evaluation time at 8:00 PM on 3/31/21.
For those of you registered and paid, refunds will be applied to your account. If you fail to receive a refund, please email president@clearlakeboysbasketball.org. The CLBB board is disappointed and hopes that a second season can return to normal next spring.
This only applies to the divisions above. If you also have a player in the 10th-12th grade division (Pro), then that division WILL play a second season as CLBB and FYBA has plenty of registrants.
Thanks again for your support of CLBB and hope to see you in a gym soon. If you have questions or concerns, you can email the link above or text/call, Barry Smith, 713-492-4440.

REGISTRATION ENDS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31ST!!!
CLBB has partnered with the Friendswood Youth Basketball Association for the 2021 Second Season. Games will be played throughout the week with similar rules as CLBB at different locations in Friendswood. There will be an evaluation tryout and draft to form teams. Teams will then compete versus other Clear Lake as well as Friendswood teams.
CLBB Second Season basketball is open to all 6th through 12th graders. The divisions are Juco (6th/7th grade), College (8th/9th grade), and Pro (10th-12th grade players). Players may play up depending on skill level. This is a post-season league designed for all games and no practices with a regular season and post season tournament.
Teams are formed by a draft after an evaluation session currently. Players only need to come to one evaluation session. Coaches are encouraged to attend the tryout sessions and assist in the formation of teams.

We have had wonderful support from the community for over 30 years and would like to continue this tradition with your help. For more information and if interested, email president@clearlakeboysbasketball.org.
CLBB Scorekeeping
CLBB is hiring high school young men and women to help with keeping score at CLBB games for all the divisions (3rd-12th Grade). This is a fun way to earn money and help your community. Scorekeepers are responsible for working the scorebook, not the clock. The pay starts at $8.00/per game.

1. High school student who would be zoned to attend Space Center, Clear Lake, Seabrook or Westbrook Intermediate school.
2. Available on Saturdays and some weeknights.
3. Attend a meeting/training session.
There are limited Scorekeeper positions available. If you are interested in becoming a CLBB Scorekeeper, please fill out the application and email it to tomgschmidt@comcast.net. You may also bring your application to a tryout session or give it to a CLBB Board Member.
