CLBB Regular Season
The 2019-2020 Clear Lake Boys Basketball Season is here! The CLBB Board wants to thank all returning players and welcome new players to the league. Season registration will open on September 21, 2019. The registration fee for our Junior, Major, and Senior Divisions (Grades 3rd-6th) will be $225.00 and includes a jersey. Player registration for all divisions will close October 30, 2019. Returning players must be registered by 10/30 and pay prior to coaches evaluations to guarantee their returning player status for the current season.
Our youngest playing division is our Junior 9’s and is for players who are in the 3rd grade and typically with a 9th birthday as of 07/31/2020. Our eligibility requirements are that boys are zoned to either attend or eventually attend Clear Lake, Seabrook, Space Center, or Westbrook Intermediate schools though players attending other schools are eligible based on availability. Teams are formed through a draft and players are required to attend a draft evaluation. The evaluations and draft will take place in early November. Practices will start in November or December and games in January after the winter break.

CLBB Second Season
CLBB Second Season basketball is open to all 7th through 12th graders. There are two Divisions. The College Division is for 7th to 9th graders. The Pro Division is for 10th to 12th graders. Players may play up a division per the skill of the player and based on availability. Many of the players currently play or have played school team basketball and will be or are attending Clear Lake, Clear Brook, or Clear Falls High Schools. Players who attend other CCISD and non CCISD high schools are eligible based on availability.
This is a post-season league designed for ALL GAMES, and NO PRACTICES. Teams are formed by a draft and players are required to attend a draft evaluation in March after Spring Break. The season runs from late March to mid-May and games are played in the evenings Monday through Friday and Saturday afternoons. After the regular season, all teams will play in a post season tournament with awards going to the winning and runner-up teams.
!! THIS WILL BE THE MOST FUN YOU WILL HAVE PLAYING BASKETBALL THIS YEAR !!
Cost of the season is $100.00. Players must play in a black/white CLBB jersey and the cost of a jersey is $20.00 and can be purchased in person or paid for at registration. Players must have paid prior to participating in a draft evaluation to be eligible for the draft.
Our goal is for everyone to have a positive experience playing CLBB. Please let us know if you have any ideas to improve CLBB. All input will be appreciated and considered. Even better, donate your time and VOLUNTEER! From Board members to coaches and timekeepers, CLBB has thrived on the strength of its volunteers.
We have had wonderful support from the community for over 30 years and would like to continue this tradition with your help. For more information and if interested, email email@example.com.
CLBB is hiring high school young men and women to help with keeping score at CLBB games for all the divisions (3rd-12th Grade). This is a fun way to earn money and help your community. Scorekeepers are responsible for working the scorebook, not the clock. The pay starts at $8.00/per game.
The following criteria must be met to be eligible:
1. High school student who would be zoned to attend Space Center, Clear Lake, Seabrook or Westbrook Intermediate school.
2. Available on Saturdays and some weeknights.
3. Attend a meeting/training session.
There are limited Scorekeeper positions available. If you are interested in becoming a CLBB Scorekeeper, please fill out the application and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also bring your application to a tryout session or give it to a CLBB Board Member.
Please contact Marla Schmidt at email@example.com if you have any questions.
